Gwacheon city is about to apply for a patent for the first time in the country to use deep-learning-based image detection technology to prevent traffic accidents of pedestrians at crosswalks. Mayor Kim Jong-Cheon and the CEO of Hanatek System Kim Seung-Il held a business agreement ceremony on the 13th at the City Hall Station room for a joint application for a patent and a pilot project for the “Right Turning Vehicle Pedestrian Warning System”.

Hanatek System’s ‘Smart Crosswalk Safety System Using IoT Geomagnetic Sensor’ provides real-time location information of the site along with safety information (lighting, sound, etc.) to both vehicles and pedestrians approaching the intersection. Hanatek System installed a top-down rope screen door (RSD) at two train stations, 1st line Vasil Levski Stadium Station, and Opalchenska Station, last October, starting the company’s first commercial operation. Earlier this year, the company overcame the risk of export cancellation due to COVID19 aftermath. Hanatek System participated in the ‘RSD Metro Sofia Consortium (Hanatek System, SKD Hightech, ATCO TRADE) and signed a contract with Sofia Metropolitan Corporation, Bulgaria on September 27 last year. The contract involves the installation of top-down rope type screen doors worth 11M Euros at 12 train stations in Sofia.
